Jay Duley, Esq.

John ("Jay") Duley joined CT as in-house legal counsel in April 1999 after practicing law as an associate attorney with the law firm of Leaf & Mahoney, P.A. where he represented clients in a variety of matters including civil litigation, insurance defense, zoning, landlord/tenant, corporate law and real estate. Prior to his position as an associate attorney, Mr. Duley served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Cypert O. Whitfill, Circuit Court for Harford County. Mr. Duley attended the University of Baltimore School of Law where he graduated cum laude in May 1997. He was subsequently admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 1997.

While attending law school, Mr. Duley worked full-time as a property and casualty claim adjuster with the Nationwide Insurance Enterprise. Mr. Duley brings with him a total of seven years of insurance experience in the areas of property and casualty claims, underwriting and subrogation. Mr. Duley is a member of the Maryland Bar Association.

In his capacity as in-house counsel, Mr. Duley handles a wide variety of matters for both CT and the clients that are served by CT. These matters include transactional work, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, corporate structuring, landlord/tenant, risk management, and human resources.
